Rail Season Tickets

If you often make the same rail journey, on your commute to work for example, you may be able to make significant savings by purchasing a season ticket.

If you regularly make the same rail journey, compare ordinary season tickets, Flexi Season tickets and daily fares for your actual travel pattern. Ordinary season tickets allow unlimited travel between the specified stations during their validity; whether they offer the best value depends on the journeys you make.

You can purchase a seven day ticket or a ticket for any period between one month and a year. Compare the price of a Monthly Season ticket with the shorter tickets you would otherwise buy.

Flexi Season tickets provide eight days of travel within 28 days between specified stations, an average of two days per week. Activate a day of travel before boarding. National Rail advertises a minimum 20% discount against an equivalent Monthly Season ticket, but Flexi covers eight travel days rather than unlimited travel. Compare the total cost for your actual journey and travel pattern before buying.

Buying methods and any Photocard or photo-ID requirements depend on the ticket and provider. Check the current conditions before buying your chosen season ticket.
